No Trash - Household or Otherwise

No Styrofoam

No Brush or Yard Waste
The City of San Marcos has a brush drop off program for San Marcos city residents. On the second Saturday of each month, residents can drop off brush at 750 River Road, San Marcos, TX 78666 from 8:00a to 1:00p. For more details, check out the city website.
No Wood
Clean, untreated, unpainted wood and lumber is accepted by Austin Wood Recycling. Hardie board and plywood are not accepted. Their phone number is 512-243-1212. Check out their website for details.
No Furniture
Furniture made out of wood and fabric are not accepted at our facility. If the furniture is in good condition, please check with your local Goodwill or Habitat For Humanity to see if they will accept the item. If not, the closest landfill to our location is the Mesquite Creek Landfill, located at 1700 Kohlenberg Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78130. The Mesquite Creek Landfill's phone number is 830-625-7894.
No Paint
Hays County residents can take their old latex or oil based paint to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center that is operated by the City of San Marcos. The facility is located at 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, TX 78666. The center is open Fridays from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. For more details, check out the city website.
No Clothing
